Edward MacGibbon stands over the ball, preparing to take the penalty.  He attempts  to hit the ball into the bottom corner...but the ball hits the post!  Gordon Rhydderch pounces on the loose ball...Gordon Rhydderch hits the ball...but William MacLaine stops the shot!  He can't hold it though...Robert McClennen is first to the loose ball and is able to clear.

43' - Michael MacKay brings the ball forward, outpacing Tom McPheters.  

45' - John McClintock dispossesses Michael MacKay and gains possession for his team.  John McClintock sees a run from Robert McClennen.  He attempts a long throughball to his teammate, but Robert McClennen is caught offside!  

46' - The referee blows the whistle for half time.

49' - Andy McQuillan sees Gordon Rhydderch making a run.  He attempts a long ball over the top, and Gordon Rhydderch takes the ball. 65' - Andy McQuillan finds Corey Molony with a long pass.  Corey Molony curls in a cross, but Robert McClennen intercepts and takes possession.  

67' - Robert McClennen spots a run from Arthur McPheron.  He tries to release him with a long throughball, and Arthur McPheron runs on to the ball.  Arthur McPheron strikes the ball...and Arthur McPheron scores!  That's a lovely goal from the Rutherglen FC player!  The ball flew past the diving keepers hand!

The linesman flags for a corner for  Rothes FC.  Patrick McPhie places the ball to take the corner.  He whips the ball into the box, but he only manages to find opposing player Jim MacLeod.  

81' - Corey Molony sees a run from Edward MacGibbon.  He tries to split the defence with a throughball, and Edward MacGibbon is able to take the ball.  Edward MacGibbon attempts to shoot the ball into the corner of the net...but William MacLaine stops the shot!  He can't hold it though...Robert Laird gets to the ball first and clears.

81' - There is going to be a subsitution.  Edward MacGibbon will come off.  Alex Lindsay is brought on from the bench.

The referee blows his whistle and points to the spot!  Alex Lindsay places the ball to take the penalty.  He tries  to power the ball into the top corner...but the shot is saved by William MacLaine!

John McClintock fouls Alex Lindsay...and the referee immediately blows his whistle - its a penalty!  Alex Lindsay stands over the ball, preparing to take the penalty.  He attempts  to power the ball into the top corner...but its over!
