John Paterson places the ball to take the corner.  He sends the ball into the box, finding Mel Pumphrey.  Mel Pumphrey directs a powerful header hoping to beat Danny George...but the shot is saved by Danny George!  

18' - John McPhillips attempts to beat Antwan Lyons using his skills and succeeds, sending his opponent the wrong way!  

20' - John McPhillips passes to Mason Vint.  Mason Vint takes the ball past Antwan Lyons with a turn of pace.  

21' - Mason Vint looks to shoot the ball into the top of the net...but the ball hits the post!  Seth Cody is first to the loose ball...Seth Cody attempts a shot, aiming for the corner of the net...but its wide!

22' - David McClintick spots a run from Mel Pumphrey.  He tries to release him with a long ball over the top, and Mel Pumphrey runs on to the ball.  Mel Pumphrey tries to shoot the ball into the top of the net...and its in! It's a great goal from Mel Pumphrey for Billericay!  The ball went in off the underside of the crossbar!

23' - Southend kick the ball off for the restart.  

30' - Dominic MacPhail attempts to use his skills to beat Seth Cody and succeeds, neatly slipping past the opposing player!  

30' - Dominic MacPhail sees a run from Mel Pumphrey.  He attempts a long ball over the top, but the linesman signals for offside!  

34' - Mel Griffith plays a long ball to Charles Williams.  Charles Williams crosses the ball into the box, but he only manages to find opposing player Dave Whittet.  

37' - Dave Whittet plays a long ball to Antwan Lyons.  Seth Cody dispossesses Antwan Lyons and the ball goes loose.  Dominic MacPhail tries to use ball skills to beat David Ainsley and succeeds, deftly slipping past the opposing player!

40' - Danny George plays a long ball to David Ainsley.  David Ainsley attempts a shot from distance...and David Ainsley scores!  Its a goal for Southend!  The ball flew past the diving keepers hand!

43' - With a turn of pace, Charles Williams beats John Paterson.  

44' - Charles Williams spots a run from John McPhillips.  He tries to release him with a long ball over the top, but the linesman signals for offside!  

45' - The referee blows the whistle for half time.

80' - Mark Evans crosses the ball, and manages to find Leeroy Drysdale.  John McPhillips fouls Leeroy Drysdale...and the referee blows his whistle and signals a penalty!  Mel Pumphrey steps up to take the penalty.  He tries  to hit the ball into the bottom corner...but the shot is offtarget!
