32' - Gavin McWhinnie chips a long ball to Darryl Stackpoole.  Darryl Stackpoole finds James Neagle with a short pass.  James Neagle tries to strike a long range shot into the corner of the net...but the shot is deflected out of play by the keeper!  The linesman signals its a corner for The Spartans.  Duncan MacLennan gets ready to take the corner.  He hits the ball into the box, but opposing player Pat McSpadden takes possession.  

34' - Pat McSpadden plays a long ball to Joseph McVey.  Joseph McVey passes to John Haden.  John Haden sees Malcolm Flanagan making a run.  He tries to release him with a long ball over the top, but Malcolm Flanagan has strayed offside!  

36' - John Haden sees Pat MacMichael making a run.  He attempts a long throughball to his teammate, but the linesman raises his flag for offside!  

40' - The Spartans launch a counter attack.  Colin McBeath successfully tackles Darryl Stackpoole and takes the ball.  Montrose try to launch a counter attack.  Colin McBeath shoots from long range, aiming for the corner of the net...but the shot is offtarget!

44' - John McWethy sees a run from James Neagle.  He attempts to release him with a throughball, and James Neagle is able to control the ball.  James Neagle strikes the ball...but the keeper manages to parry the shot!  John McWethy pounces on the loose ball...John McWethy tries to strike the ball into the corner of the net...but the shot goes wide!

73' - Brian Fleming successfully tackles John McWethy and the ball goes loose.  Douglas Burnet passes a long ball to Pat MacMichael.  Pat MacMichael speeds past Gordon McCleod.
