35' - Peter McClimon crosses the ball, and manages to find Bruce McCausland.  Bruce McCausland strikes the ball...but the shot hits the upright!  Neil Buchan is first to the loose ball and is able to clear.

42' - St Johnstone launch a counter attack.  Colin McBeath tackles Duncan McPheters and the ball goes loose.  Pat McSpadden dispossesses Fraser McNeff and takes the ball.  Montrose try to launch a quick counter attack.  Pat McSpadden brings the ball forward, outpacing Iain McNish.  

43' - Pat McSpadden curls in a cross, but Neil Buchan gets there first and clears the ball.
