I'm really just now starting to use scouts with my club and I have questions.
1) In what specific ways does experience, assessment, and potential of the scout affect the outcomes of scouting?

2) How can I assign my scout to an individual player, whether it be a player on my own club or someone else's club?

Experience - they'll find more players
Assessment - more likely to find players currently matching your scouting criteria
Potential - more likely to find players who will develop into what you are looking for

Re scouting individual players you can only scout players not in your club. If you go onto their page a "scout from" option should be in the drop down box - i.e the same place as when you are making a transfer offer.

What's the point of scouting if it doesn't show the players' skills? It just says that the player is between 500 and 1000 or between 500 and 750?

The longer you scout, the more it shows (or should do anyway).

I hired a scout, left it for a long time to see if he could improve his evaluation, he didn't find anything interesting and retired. I give up scouting. I get better players by researching on my own.
