Ok, I've been away from the game a few days so did not notice another incorrect international scheduling. I've temporarily stopped any further processing so I can look at what's gone wrong. I know it's impacted a lot of important Euro matches, so I'll look at options for replaying the ones impacted.

So from what I can tell, its the 2nd legs of both the Europa and Champions league which were impacted (15th and 20th). The first legs I think were ok. Please let me if this sounds right to you? Game processing is on hold until this can be sorted out as I will most likely reset those fixtures only and do two ad hoc processing just to simulate those matches.

I'm pretty easy with what you do with my matches, so I'll just give you a summary of my affected matches and you can decide what to do, I don't mind. Europa 2nd leg - Batman v Cottbus - Batman put out a severely weakened lineup when losing to Cottbus, but I'd feel bad for Cottbus if it's replayed and they lose, since it's a good result for them and it'd be rolling back a win they already celebrated. I'm not sure to what extent they were affected, probably not as much as Batman, but it is what it is and I wouldn't begrudge them going through, the first leg was a draw so it was a close tie Europa 2nd leg - Deportivo v Sociedad - Also very weakened and lost to AI team. Would be nice to replay it, but on the other hand... Spanish Liga - Deportivo v Getafe - Same severely weakened lineup as above, but we won this one, and it brings us closer to the league title Premier League - Darlington v West Ham - a few players on international duty but still a very strong lineup. we won 5-0 Champions League 2nd Leg - Darlington v Annecy - same as above, some players missing but strong lineup. we scraped through, just Hard to know what to feel about it, because I wouldn't be happy to lose those crucial Darlington matches or the Deportivo league match on a replay, but if I can keep those then I probs shouldn't be able to replay the ones I lost either... Might be a different story in Simon's case as I think it wiped out pretty much all his interests this season

As longsands said obviously Simon has been the one who lost out the most so entirely up to him but if matches are going to be replayed Peniche vs Caldas leg 2 in the ucl knockouts should be replayed, i won but neither of us had a full side so doesn’t feel like a completely fair win. As for the other matches I don’t have any others I can remember being particularly affected by internationals that I was involved in

Evening all. Sorry to be late to this - on holiday so only have my mobile rather than laptop and a bit intermittent online (Bellagio is lovely but not great for internet coverage!). It’s a tricky one, this - I have had league fixtures affected by international breaks this season, a both Champions League and Europa League matches affected. I confess I had simply assumed that internationals would not clash with European fixtures as thought it was sorted out, so between that and proximity of fixtures I had left my sides as is and was surprised when I then read a load of match reports together earlier today and did not even recognise some of the names of my own players. Lille went out of the Europa League over two legs having fielded some teenage debutants, and Caldas were knocked out by Peniche (who I know had their own issues) having fielded only three regular outfield players. We had a French CAM at loft back, a teenage strike force and some frankly awful choices in midfield. The last round of UCL group games was also affected. I had already given up on the leagues this season (I’m likely to have no teams in Europe next season at this point, literally…) following both poor form and some national clashes but was philosophical, thinking we would have a good European run and would come again domestically. So I was all in on Europe. However, as both Mario and Longsands have said, these matches have been played and celebrated, and also I know some of the other promoters involved pretty well - I don’t want to look like it is sour grapes (although players naturally compare legacy stats and mine have now suffered!) or take joy away from others. If it were AI matches I would absolutely want a rematch. Given it has happened against player teams I think I better simply to chug down my medicine. So personally I would not replay them, I will just have to come again next season but I would really like the national game to be removed from the game. I don’t want to be pushy, but it seems to cause regular issues which don’t justify the limited upsides. It’s a tough one to take but I think we just need to roll on and become a club-only game.

ok, i will just cancel all internationals for the rest of this season and get the game resumed. Then i will make a change to stop any more international fixture scheduling for the time being (at least 2 or 3 seasons). I will only resume internationals after i have redeveloped how they are scheduled and done a more thorough test.

Thank you. I’m going to reduce my game time this season, let my teams manage themselves into mid-table mediocrity and see how I feel about the new season. Thanks for the offer of replays - appreciated.

I just realised that by leaving international processing disabled, we'll come to a point in less than a year when players won't be able to buy players from outside their country (or EU if an EU club) who are less than 850 overall. Unless i also disband the transfer restrictions and allow it to become a free for all. i have a stupidly simple idea which is not very realistic, but is possibly the least intrusive. Allow international processing to continue but do away with the "international duty" status, and make it so the international matches do not impact a players fitness or injure them. This way, international players will play for their countries but will still be available to play for clubs - even if the matches are taking place in the same day. Ideally, long term I will still redevelop the way international matches are scheduled so they strictly stick to the "international break" calendar which is what the league fixtures are built around. i don't think i'll have time to do anything in time for the new season so will leave international processing disabled, and then revisit this maybe in October (real life) - i still want to test the idea properly before i try implementing it on the server.
