I need some help

How come players' work permits get rejected? Is there a way to get the work permits approved? Is there any way for me to train my players? And how come the year doesn't go past 2033 it has been on 2033 for at least 2 years. And how do I know how much money I am making without having to add up all the finances every time? And how do the languages that players speak matter? And what are the green attributes meaning. edited by Dr_Savage on 16/07/2023 edited by Dr_Savage on 16/07/2023 edited by Dr_Savage on 16/07/2023

Rejected work permits: I see your club is in Italy, so you can buy any player from within the EU countries. If you want someone outside the EU they need to be an international team player with more than 600 class. However, your team is not at that level anyway, so you need to stick to players from EU countries. The year hasn't been at 2033 for the past 2 years? Not even sure what you mean by that as the game launched less than one year ago and started on 2022.

Regarding money, if you click on the amount of money you have from your clubs screen it takes you to the finance screen. If you then click on summary you can see total debits and credits between any 2 dates you put in. Note it's UK date format (DD/mm/yyyy)

Languages matter as ideally you want players who can speak to each other and the manager. While they struggle to communicate there can be a detrimental effect on performance. Green stats mean the player is improving

No, you only have rejected work permits from the following countries, none of which are in the EU Algeria Argentina Australia Belarus Brazil Cuba DR Congo England Northern Ireland Paraguay USA If you look at the How to Play page and then the Country Guide for Italy, you can see a list of countries you can sign any player from.

shirt and kit sponsorships last for 3 years and your team already has sponsorship deals ending in 2035 and 2036. you won't be offered a new one until these have nearly ended. football teams don't get tv deals. tv broadcasters choose which matches to televise and then you get a payment at the end of the season depending on how many matches got televised

this one is genuinely my last question, is there anyway for me to train my players or do they just progress on their own

Your manager will select what he thinks is the best lineup for the game. This can differ depending on how good the opp is. E.g if opp has similar or better class he'll chooses a formation which can use the players with best overall and pick players for that. While if opp is much lower class he'll give some less experienced players a chance.

They progress on their own. The only way you influence training is by improving training facilities and hiring better coaches.

@Dr._Savage and any other new players reading, there's an unofficial discord in case you're interested - at the moment it's just a small handful of some of the more active players in it chatting now and then about what's happening in the game, it's not a replacement for the forum and no-one needs to feel like they're missing out on anything important by not being in it, but still hoping it can grow a little with the game as just an extra little place for people who are more keen to chat a bit about what's going on in the various leagues without us clogging up the main discussion thread. https://discord.gg/ePPbmWrh New players would be very welcome - admin is absolutely fantastic for responding to questions in here but can't be around all the time, and folks in the discord would probably be happy to help out too when it comes to general gameplay stuff. edited by longsands on 16/07/2023

Game by game it doesn't make a difference. But obviously finishing in one of the top positions in the division gets you more money at the end of the season

I can't win any games here. 2 lost seasons. I cannot sell or buy anyone. I invested everything in the Youth Academy and Training Center. But I think the team will go bankrupt. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with it, starting out is the hardest part of the game - once you get going things will start to click! A lot of this post is stuff I've already mentioned here and there to others, and I've been meaning to put it together a long post with some gameplay tips for new players, hopefully this is useful in the meantime. I had a look at your club (or at least the parts I'm able to see) and have a few suggestions - - The main reason your team is struggling is probably just that your squad isn't good enough at the moment - your average squad rating is lagging below the league's average. I can't see all your squad's overall ratings so am not sure what standard your first 11 are, but that could well be the main problem. - Also your manager might not be helping - Unless I'm mistaken the main stats you want in a manager are leadership, tactics, communication; yours has decent leadership and communication but his tactics stat isn't great. But also that manager didn't speak Portuguese, which also probably harmed performances too. He's at 78% for Portuguese now though and he needs to be 80% for language to not matter, so that won't be an issue for much longer. His contract is winding down though, so if i were you I'd look at alternative options - AI teams will generally buy players who will improve their squad, and because the players you're trying to sell aren't likely to improve many squads it'll be very hard to sell them unless you get lucky. There will be plenty of young free agents available who are not only better than your current players, but better than the division's average too. So I'd recommend being quite ruthless and just trying to get rid of any players who aren't going to help you push for promotion - don't worry about not getting their transfer value for them, because the majority can be replaced with better free agents anyway. Once a player has been on the transfer list for 6 months they'll offer to terminate their contract for no fee, but this only happens if they're listed for a reduced price - I forget what that reduction needs to be - 70% of the value maybe? If you've been unable to get rid of any of them though and their wages are expensive, I'd consider just listing them for 0 anyway. In the lower leagues you don't need a big squad at all, so you can probably get rid of a lot of them. - Training grounds, youth academies etc are long term investments (youth especially) - there's lots of ways to play the game and some really enjoy the challenge of focussing on academy players. That's very much 'hard mode' though - the quickest way to grow your club is to focus on building a squad above the division's average overall rating, because once you get that first promotion you'll be safer financially and will be able to bring in better players. And since they're better players, you'll be more likely to sell them on when you're done with them. -- Finding good free agents - some look for young free agents who've come from clubs with good youth academies, but if you're patient and scout them you'll be able to see what their potential is, to make sure they're going to be good enough to make a difference. - Be aware though, you fill up a squad with young free agents, be aware your performances might suffer if the average age of your starting 11 is too young. Older than 24 is fine, but the penalty is greater for every year under that. So make sure to either keep a few older players around or loan in some veterans. Finally, it's not currently possible to see the potential of your own existing players unless you have another club to scout them from. So I've just sent a scout out to your club and will you send you the report - happy to do this for anyone else too, just drop me a message if so. Best of luck and hope to see you taking on Caldas and Peniche eventually! edited by longsands on 24/08/2023

Thank you, it's already a light. I'm waiting to finish the contracts to release the trainers and put a better one. It says I can't have more than 3. As for the players, I'm managing to release some already by mutual agreement. I put a value well below and he himself asked to leave. But I still need money, because the owner's financing is running out too. Good news, I hope they serve me in time, but the development of young people is faster. I'm updating another level on 03/27/2035.
